March of Dimes

In honor of yesterday, the day that was supposed to be Kyndall's birthday, I am posting a reminder about the March of Dimes March for Babies. This year, I am wanting to have a large team walk and have set a team goal of $1000.
What is the March of Dimes?
March of Dimes is the leading organization in researching ways to prevent premature births.
Why give to the March of Dimes?
Because 1 in 8 babies are born too early. That may not seem like a lot, but when you look at the big picture, that can turn into hundreds and thousands of babies born too early.
Where does YOUR state rank in premature births?
Check out this map and click on your state to find out how you state compares to the rest of the country.
Will you help?
If you'd like to donate please go to the Team Kyndall page and make a donation. It doesn't have to be a lot. If every person who reads my blog donated $5, that'd be a TON of money to help prevent premature births.
Think about it.

Thoughtless Thursday

Oops! I missed last weeks Thoughtless Thursday, so I'm going to make up for it today!
Head over to Life in the Fulmer Lane to check out other's Thoughtless Thursday posts!

This was taken at Kyndall's birthday party. (I'll post more about that later...) We had her party at our church's gym, and they have little scooter things, and the kids LOVED them! Kyndall was concentrating hard to stay on hers, but I think she was a little dizzy too!
Isn't she just the absolute most cutest little blond haired, blue eyed little girl you've ever seen? I do! :)

Scentsy

I'm sure most of you have heard of Scentsy, but I'll give you some background a quick facts just in case you've never heard of it.

Well, the company has been around since 2004, and they "offer a safe, wickless alternative to scented candles." They work well, come in several patterns, and have several scents from which to choose from.

I got one as a teacher gift back in May, and its been in my classroom since August. I love mine! However, you can use them at home, in the office, and they even have Scentsy for your car. I've had a car one in my car for about a month, and it still smells like new.

I am hosting a party through a good friend of mine. While I know none of you will be able to make it, you can order online at her Scentsy page. Make sure you click on the Kim Frederick party. The parties are listed on the left of the page!

Snowy Sunday

Well, the weather man was right! He predicted snow, and we got it. About 3 inches according to the National Weather Service. However, we didn't have quite that much at our house, but we still had enough to have fun in it. Kyndall enjoyed it a lot more than she did last year for sure!

When we got home from a friend's birthday party, we went to the backyard and played for a little while. She wanted to jump so we put her on the trampoline. She wasn't a huge fan of that so it didn't last long.

A little later, we went back out. I showed her how to catch snowflakes on her tongue. Whether she got any or not is a different story, but she looks cute trying!

Daddy also showed her how to throw snowballs so she did that for a while too. They didn't go far, but she didn't care! She had a blast throwing them at mommy and daddy anyways.

I got the idea to use one of her diaper boxes as a sled! So we went to the side of the house where there is a small hill and let her have at it! She had loads of fun with that and wanted to do it over and over again.

However, she wanted to sled more than the box did so we had to collapse it, but it still worked pretty well and she had fun.

We also tried to use the box as a snowboard...Let's just say it didn't work to well. We didn't get any pictures of that though. We did get video though. That will not be shown to the blog world because its of me busting my butt...Oh well, we got a good laugh out of it!

Thoughtless Thursday

So Katie over at Life in the Fulmer Lane took a little break from her Thoughtless Thursday, but it is now back. So here's to the 1st Thoughtless Thursday of 2011!

One picture was taken Dec. 30, 2009- the day Kyndall turned 1.
The other picture was taken Dec. 31, 2010- one day after Kyndall turned 2.
She is on the same slide, wearing the same shirt. Yes, that's right. She wore the same shirt 366 days apart from each other. I bought the shirt in a size 6-9 month when she was about 4 months old thinking that she'd for sure be wearing 6-9 month by the time her birthday rolled around. I was wrong. She was wearing 3-6 month...So since it still fit this year she wore it again. Best $4 I spent!
Goodness gracious, what a difference a year makes!
