Mumbo Jumbo...
If Kyndall could calm down and stop getting so excited over the idea of walking, I think she'd be walking by now. She'll get going and then get to excited about it that she'll loose her balance and fall down on her hiney. She is standing pretty much on her own a lot of the time now. Shes even started being able to stand and do something else at the same time- talk, dance, clap, drink, etc. But when she goes to take a step that excitement takes over, and down she goes. She does take a few steps here and there, and when she does, she has a huge smile on her face like shes so proud of herself. However, it is really funny to watch someone so little walking...I mean, shes just barely over 2 feet tall!
We had a pretty good weekend. But it was over WAY to fast! Friday night, we had a paint party with our Sunday School class to paint our new Sunday School room. We did this in our last room back in October, but we outgrew the room so they moved us to a bigger one. I didn't do much painting, but I did clean blinds. Chad pretty much kept up with Kyndall and another 1 year old. Saturday we didn't do much until that evening. That night, we went to IHOP with Chad's grandfather, mother, and her husband. Sunday, we tried, but we didn't make it to church. We did go to Target and got a pretty amazing deal on baby wipes and light bulbs though. We also went to Sam's to get a few bulk items(like 1000 note cards!), and then we went to the park.
Now its Monday, and its back to the grind. Kyndall didn't sleep well last night so this morning was a bit of a rough one to say the least. I have to be at work at 8 tomorrow instead of my usual noon, so hopefully tonight will be a better night than last!
My picture me Monday post will be made later once I am on the computer with the pictures.

Oh how I love to shop!
So, where do I shop? It really depends on what I'm looking for...
When I'm looking for clothes for Kyndall, I go to:
Yes, it may have something to do with the fact that I worked at Super 1 Foods for a little over 17 months and that Chad worked for the company as well, but now that we have no true connections to the place, we still shop there. Mainly because I know where almost everything is in the store, and I don't have to walk up and down every aisle like I do at Wal-Mart (aka, The Evil Empire to BGC partners). Yes, I still know most of the people who work there, and I enjoy seeing them, and they enjoy seeing Kyndall much more than they do me, but hey, she's not going to get there herself now is she?
As far as Chad goes, I tend to let him shop on his own. He is getting better about branching out and getting some dressier clothes. When we first met, all he wore was jeans and plaid shirts. Now, he is color blind so that did, and still does play a factor into how he shops, but hes does a pretty good job without me holding his hand.

A Walk on the Wild Side
So last night, Kyndall got brave and took a walk on the wild side. Meaning she let go of our fingers and took off, in this case, towards me. She really wanted to play with the camera so we passed the camera to each other and hit the record button to see what we could catch. Her teacher at daycare also said that she took a few steps yesterday.
However, today she was in no mood to take that walk again...Though, I'm excited about this major milestone getting closer and closer; I'm kinda sad about it too. This means that my baby girl is growing up. I knew it was going and is going to continue to happen so I guess we can't do anything but take things day by day as they come our way.

Brought me to tears
Well, this American doctor thought that the baby was transverse and she needed a c-section, but they were in the middle of a park! He knew of a field hospital that would have the proper supplies.
Once they got to the field hospital, they were able to figure out that they baby wasn't transverse so they didn't need a c/s, but the baby weighed less than 4 lbs! I bawled! That poor mom and baby, and all the other people down there. I would so adopt that baby if I could.
They said that the baby would honestly be lucky to make it to its 1st birthday if they didn't get proper attention soon.
We may not be able to help this woman and her baby personally, but we can help the people of Haiti. You can donate by texting "Haiti" to 90999 to give $10 to the Red Cross. It will be on your next phone bill. OR you can text "disaster" to 90999 to give $10 to Compassion's disaster relief program.

Next Time
So thats what I'm going to do now. Put down a list of things that I want to get next time around with a baby. [No, I'm not pregnant, these are just things that I have thought about wishing I had with Kyndall.]
1. I really wish I had had a nursing cover. Every time I tried to use a blanket, either it would fall or Kyndall would kick it off.
2. A sling. That way I don't have to worry about getting the infant seat in and out and out and in of the car or buggy.
3. Buy stock in Prilosec OTC and Tums. Those were two of my best friends during pregnancy.
4. More bassinet sheets. One was just not enough!
5. More than one "lovey"
I'm sure there will be more later, but as for right now, that's all I can think of.
What was something(s) that you didn't have with your first child that you wish(ed) you had?

12 months and counting
Poor baby got 5 shots and a finger prick. However, she took it like a champ! I gave her some infant Tylenol about 30 min. before her appointment, some right before nap at daycare, and then another dose before bed. Out of the 5 shots she got, 4 were new ones. She got the MMR, Chicken Pox, Hep. A, a flu booster, and the 4th dose of another one.
Her official weight is 17lbs 3oz, which is in the 3rd percentile of babies her age. (Which means that 97% of babies her age weigh more.) Her official height is 26in, which puts her completely off the charts for babies her age. Therefore, according to this chart, 100% of babies her age are taller than she is. I was a little concerned that we had dropped in both areas in the last 3 months, but her doctor didn't seem the least bit worried about it. He said that shes healthy and growing, just at her own pace.
The wanted to re-check her iron levels because last week when we had out WIC appointment, her levels were low. The nurse called me back later that afternoon and said that everything came back normal and no signs of anemia. Which is what we wanted to hear!
So I just have a teeny tiny little girl who is healthy and as fun as can be!

Twenty Ten
So this year, I'm going to make some that I know I can keep and some that I am going to try my hardest to keep.
Those that I know I can keep(call them cheating if you want, but I always seem to feel better when I see something in writing and know that I can cross it off my to-do list):
1) Wean Kyndall completely from nursing. Not sure when this will happen, but it will be before 2011.
2) Start potty training Kyndall.
Things I'm going to try to keep:
1)The classic- Lose weight.
2)I am going to try to be more positive and thankful for what I have.
3)To be a better wife.
4)To focus on the positive instead of dwelling on the past and negative.
5)To help around the house more.
What are your resolutions? Are some going to easier than others?
