4 months

We went to Kyndall's 4 month appt today, on her 4 month b-day.

She got 2 shots and one oral vaccination(rotovirus). Yes, I cried...

She weighed in at 10lbs 14oz(5th percentile), was 23 inches long(11th percentile) and her head is 15 1/2in(11th percentile).

Her pedi told us we can start on cereal, which we are going to do tonight, and then in about 2 weeks start on stage 1 veggies-one veggie every 3 days, then about 2-3 week after that start on stage 1 fruits.

We go back June 30th for her 6 month appt.

Months 2 and 3

Well, I realized I didn't post a 2 month over view.

I have returned to work, and it has gotten a little easier leaving her, but I still hate it. The first week i cried 2 of the 3 days i dropped her off. her 2 month appt. went well, and she was up to 8 lbs 0.7 oz and 20 inches-both below the 5th percentile for her age, but her doctor was happy considering where we started- 4 lbs 14 oz and 17 inches. she took her shots better than i did, and i cried more than she did. her doctor put her on medicine for her reflux, and we are now on her 2nd med, which seems to be helping more. she has now made it to target several times and we have made it back to church a few more times. we also moved her to room at 5 weeks of age, and she has done well with the move. i think we are all getting a little more sleep.

tomorrow she will be 3 months old! its crazy to think that...where did the time go?!? my parents and brother have all come back home. they were here for spring break so they got to see Kyndall for the first time since she was 2 weeks old. we have started getting smiles and little laughs, which just melts my heart every time. she loves sitting up, either on our lap or in her bumbo. one of her favorite things is sitting with daddy and watching him play his computer game. i did have to take her back to the doctor because she had been super fussy, fighting her feedings and sleep for about 5 days. she was running a low grade temp and her doc doubled her reflux med. she was also up to 9lbs 8 oz(again, below 5th percentile, but shes growing)!!! after a couple of days of more med, she seems to be back to my happy baby. we also put her in the church nursery for the first time this morning, and you'll be proud- i didn't cry! :)

we go back April 30 for her 4 month appt an second round of shots.
