Fall Cleaning

This weekend, we did some cleaning!

We broke down and got a new vacuum- there was no waiting around on this purchase. Our old one was starting to blow stuff back out and wouldn't suck anything up. So Kyndall and I went to Target and got a cheap one, and let me tell you, compared to the old one, this one sucks(haha!). Its great! It picked up cat hair, Cheerios, Gold Fish, everything!

Kyndall even got in on the act!

Kyndall also decided the kitchen needed to be swept, so all on her own, she went to town sweeping the floor. Now granted she did spread the dirt around, but she had fun!

A friend and I also went through Kyndall's clothes and pulled out a ton of things! I didn't take any pictures, but I still have all the empty hangers so I may get a picture of those to prove that I did weed out a lot!

Thoughtless Thursday- Then and Now

I know I haven't done this in a while, but I'm trying to get back into blogging on a more regular basis- especially since my Husband even comments that I haven't been keeping up with my blog!

So, its Thursday, and that means "Thoughtless Thursday" over at Life in the Fulmer Lane!

This week, a group that I'm a part of is doing the theme of "Then and Now" pictures of our babies, so I thought I'd carry that over to this week's Thoughtless Thursday.

We did not plan this, nor did we realize it, but now we will have to keep up the yearly tradition of having Kyndall's picture done by a professional on August 21, because unbeknownst to us at the time, we had them done Aug. 21, 2009 and Aug. 21, 2010!

Here is Kyndall on August 21, 2009:

And here she is August 21, 2010:

Goodness! What a difference a year makes! Here's to many more August 21sts!

Glamor Girl

We decided to get Kyndall's pictures taken by someone other than mom or dad.

Take a look at what we got!

Something Fishy

We went to the aquarium! Kyndall loved seeing all the fish.

I am willing to bet she could have stayed, watching these fish, the for whole day if we had let her!

We went through the tunnel where fish and sharks swam over our heads. Kyndall and I are looking at the shark swimming over us.

They had these cool tanks where you could crawl under and get an up close and personal look at the fish.

There was also the same type of thing at the penguins. We were INCHES away from them! It was pretty neat.

Picture Me Monday...on Tuesday

On Monday, Labor Day, we went to the Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, TN.

We got a personal tour of the place! We got to see the drag strip, the owner's suite, and got to walk on and ride on the main track.

Here is picture of my parents, my Grandma, Kyndall and I standing on the start/finish line. You can see where the winner from the race did their donuts after winning the race.

Here we are standing in the owner's suite. We got to sit in the seats, and walk around.

Flyin on a Jet Plane

This week, Kyndall, Grandma, and I are in Tennessee visiting my parents. How did we get here? Well, we didn't drive, we flew! I was a little worried about how Kyndall would do on the plane, but she did fine. Well, until right before landing on both flights. I have a feeling it'll be the same way when we fly back home Saturday.

Here are some pictures from our adventure on getting to my parents.

Here's Kyndall, ready for the adventure to begin!

Here's GG and Kyndall looking at the plane right before we started boarding.

Kyndall sitting in GG's lap eating a cookie while in the air.

Kyndall finally fell asleep. While landing of all times! She slept from about 10 min before landing in Atlanta, to right before boarding the plane for the second time, which was really only about 45 minutes.

Kyndall felt it was her duty to read up on the safety protocol before taking off the second time.
