Drumroll Please...

OK, so I haven't updated in a while...whoops. Sorry to all my faithful readers(if there are any out there :-/)...

Not a whole lot has happened, but lets see what I can come up with.

The Saturday before Father's Day, we went to the zoo. We went first thing in the morning and were able to look at the animals for as long or as short as we(ok, Kyndall) wanted to. I think we must have spent close to 10 minutes looking at the otters. That's one advantage about going early is that the otters are active and swimming. We let her walk for the most part, but it was a good thing we had the stroller with us. She really enjoyed the otters, penguins, and leopard!

Then of course there was Father's Day, which I wrote about last Thursday.

This past Friday, we went a local splash pad and let Kyndall play in the water and on the playground that was close by. Then on Saturday, Chad went to a baseball game with the guys from our Sunday School class and Kyndall and I had the day to ourselves. We went to Old Navy to exchange a pair of jeans, Target to just look around, a birthday party for a friend, and then to eat pizza with the ladies and other kids from our Sunday School class.

Also, for the best news we've gotten in a while, I was given a promotion at work yesterday! I am going to be the full time lead teacher in the older 2's room at the daycare. It will be about 10 hours more work a week, but that is fine. We need all the extra time I can get!

Thoughtless Thursday

Thursdays mean "Thoughtless Thursday" over at Life in the Fulmer Lane!

I know Father's Day was on Sunday, but oh well! Katie, here's what your Mister can look forward to next year.

Here is Kyndall and her daddy on Father's Day! I, with the help of a couple of friends, made them shirts. His says "Papa Bear" and hers says "baby bear." I love how excited she is in this picture!

I decided to make brownies for dessert Sunday night, and I let Kyndall help. She was not a fan of the mixer. In fact right after this was taken, she was holding on to me for dear life and then tried to push the mixer away.

Though Kyndall didn't enjoy the mixing part so much, she and daddy did enjoy the cleaning up part!

Picture Me Monday

So I attempted to do a Father's Day photo shoot and get Kyndall to hold up letters to spell out "DAD" but it didn't go so well...

These were the best that I got...

However, she would have looked really cute had she cooperated with me!

Thoughtless Thursday

Thursdays mean "Thoughtless Thursday" over at Life in the Fulmer Lane!

Today's picture was actually taken this morning. I went to go get something off the couch and when I looked up, this is what I saw:

Kyndall had put on my flip flops and was "walking" around. It was really more like scooting around because she had them on wrong and they are WAY to big for her, but never the less, it was way to cute not to capture on film!

17 Months

OK, so I know I'm a bad mom...I kept meaning to write this entry, but it never happened. So here it is, 2 weeks late, but it will have info back to 17 months old!
What is Kyndall up to these days?
- She is 19lbs 12oz and approx. 29 inches tall
- She can still wear some 3-6 month clothes, but we have mostly moved to 6-9 and even some of the smaller 12 month.
- She is still wearing size 2-3 diapers, but I think once we finish the current box, we'll move to size 3's.
- She is starting to understand going to the potty. She has not actually done anything in the potty, but she will sit on it and has tee-teed on the floor around her potty a couple of times.
- She is still not a big meat eater, but she will eat fruits and veggies like they are going out of style! Her favorites are pineapple, banana, apple, strawberry, watermelon, corn, peas, green beans, mac and cheese, eggs, bread, cheese, and oddly enough, spinach pizza.
- She LOVES going outside and jumping on the trampoline!
- She has added a few words to her vocabulary, like cat, dog, fish, please, and thank you.
- She can point to her nose and bellybutton. We're still working on other body parts.
- She has changed rooms at daycare, and is now the only girl, again, with 4 boys- all who are bigger, but not all older.

The top picture is of Kyndall when she was about 8 days old, and the bottom one was taken about a day before she turned 17 months old.

Picture Me Monday

We first introduced watermelon to Kyndall last August and since then, she has fallen in love with it! She may be a messy watermelon eater, but she hardly ever lets a piece go to waste!

I got some pre-cut deseeded pieces for Memorial Day, and shes eaten almost the whole container by herself!

Picture Me Monday

Chad's sister asked us the other day if we wanted their trampoline since her girls had out grown it and hadn't used it in a while. We told her sure. Chad went and picked it up on Saturday.

Since he got it set up, we can hardly keep Kyndall off of it! She LOVES it!

Here are a couple of pictures of her laughing and jumping with daddy the first day.

Now she will bring us her shoes and walk to the back door because she wants to go jump. Silly girl!
