Cameron Park Zoo

This past weekend, we had a family reunion, but we made a pit stop on the way to the Cameron Park Zoo in Waco. I hadn't been there since before I graduated from Baylor so it was fun to see the new things they have added in the last 5 1/2 years!

Kyndall had a lot of fun too! She got to ride around in her "princess buggy" pulled by her daddy. We let her pick out her wagon on her own. This is the one she picked out, and the even buckled her seat belt all by herself!

They have added an Asian Forest section, and they have a little playground/music place. She really liked the ground chimes, but she had to jump pretty hard to get them to play.

They have also added a Brazos River area that has a TON of fish. If you know anything about Kyndall, she LOVES to watch the fish so when she walked in and saw this tank, she was in awe!

They also have some cute cutouts for pictures. They have a few butterflies and then these ladybugs, which I had the honor of posing with. Isn't she the cutest ladybug you've ever seen?

Also in the Brazos River area, they have added bears and otters. One of the bears was right up on the glass swimming back and forth so we were literally inches away from him! There is a slide that goes through the otter tank, which a certain 2 year old girl I know, loved! She could had stayed there the rest of the day if we would have let her.

I think that this zoo will become a part of our annual trip down to Central Texas every year!
