Happy Birthday Big K

Dear Big K,
You are another year old. I can't believe you are 4 years old!

This year has gone by so fast, and A LOT has happened.

Stats:
Weight: 33lbs
Height: 39in

That's a long way from the 4lbs 14oz and 17in you started out at! You are so worth the long days on bed rest, the multiple trips to the hospital, and even the kidney stone I had about a month before you were born. While my pregnancy would have been easier without all that extra stuff, I wouldn't trade it for anything because all that made you even more of a miracle to your daddy and me. We were blessed that we did not need the help of the March of Dimes, but we know they would have been there if we had needed them. Because of this, they are our charity of choice. (You can donate here in honor of Big K and all the healthy children you know.)

Over the last year, you've learned *most* of your letters and numbers(0-9) by site, you've learned how to spell your name and can even write it when you try really hard. You went to Disney World and got to meet Tinkerbell, Minnie Mouse, and the princesses. You even were Snow White for a day. You went on your first field trip and got to ride on the school bus for the first time. You started gymnastics and LOVE it. You became a big sister.

You love to eat tomatoes, olives, mac&cheese, cheeseburgers, and "polka dot pizza." Your favorite restaurants are Cheeburger Cheeburger, McAllisters, and "Chick-fa-yay." You love you some chocolate milk and "normal" water(ice water.)

Your vocabulary is exploding! The things you say never cease to amaze me. Sometimes, it's hard to believe you're only 4. The way you describe things is crazy. The other day, you told us you were "quite cold."

You're newest role in life is big sister. You LOVE your little sister. You want to help so much, even though you say you're "allergic to baby poop and pee." You like holding Little K, at least until she starts crying. You're new fascination is to burp her after she eats.

It's hard to believe you've come so far in only 4 years. I can't imagine what this next year will hold for you. I pray that continue to love, to grow, and to learn.

Love,
Mommy

I can't wait until my daughter can talk more, like your little one. Such a personality.
